What this policy covers

This policy covers the personal data we process when you visit MAFIA.GE, create or use an account, register for a game, book a service, or communicate with us.

Visiting or continuing to browse the website does not, by itself, constitute consent to the processing of personal data for any purpose. Where processing requires your consent, we request it separately for a specific purpose.

What data we process

The scope of the data depends on the services you use and the information you provide.

Account data

Your first name, surname, player name or nickname, phone number and email address, as entered in the relevant registration or profile fields.

Registration and booking data

The selected game or service, date, time, participation and booking status, and information needed to fulfil your request.

Payment-related data

The order amount, payment status and relevant transaction information.

Communication data

Messages, requests and complaints you send to us, and the contact information needed to respond.

Technical data

Your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, visit times and records relating to the operation of the website, to the extent collected by the technologies in use.

Information about Google Analytics and Meta Pixel is provided in Section 6 of this policy.

Where providing data is necessary to register or receive a particular service, we inform you at the relevant stage. If you do not provide the necessary information, we may be unable to deliver the requested service.

Why we process data and our legal bases

We process your data for a defined purpose and where an appropriate legal basis exists.

To provide services

To manage accounts, register players for games, fulfil bookings, handle payment-related operations and send essential service communications. In these cases, the legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you or steps necessary to enter into an agreement at your request.

To comply with legal obligations

This includes maintaining relevant financial and accounting records and responding to lawful requests from authorised authorities.

To protect important legitimate interests

To maintain website and account security, identify fraud and unauthorised use, and defend legal claims. We rely on this basis only after assessing necessity and your rights, where there is no overriding interest in protecting your rights.

With your consent

For direct marketing and other processing that requires consent.

Before using data for a new purpose, we assess the appropriate legal basis and, where required by law, provide information in advance or request your consent.

Service messages and direct marketing

Essential messages about your account, security, bookings or payments are used to provide the relevant service.

We need your consent to send promotional offers and other direct marketing messages.

You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time, free of charge, using the method stated in the message or by sending a request to info@mafia.ge.

We will stop processing data for direct marketing within a reasonable period after receiving your request, and no later than 7 working days. Opting out of marketing does not restrict your access to services.

Cookies, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you interact with a website. Similar technologies may also be used to obtain information about how the website operates or is used.

These technologies may serve different purposes: providing essential website functions, remembering selected preferences, analysing usage or measuring advertising effectiveness.

MAFIA.GE uses Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, technologies for analysing website usage and assessing advertising results.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps us analyse website visits and user activity. Depending on the settings in use, the information processed may include pages visited, visit duration, device and browser information, approximate location and technical identifiers.

Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel sends Meta information about website visits and the events configured on the website. This technology enables advertising effectiveness to be measured. Where the relevant features are used, the information may also be used to create advertising audiences and personalise ads on Facebook and Instagram.

Google and Meta are recipients of data collected through these technologies. The exact scope of the data processed depends on the features enabled on the website and their settings.

Managing cookie consent

The cookie banner on MAFIA.GE allows you to accept or reject the use of Google Analytics and Meta Pixel for analytics and advertising purposes.

Simply visiting or continuing to browse the website does not constitute consent to the use of these technologies.

For requests relating to consent withdrawal or the processing of personal data, you can contact us at info@mafia.ge.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in or other website functions.

Who may receive your data

We share data with other parties only where there is an appropriate purpose and legal basis, and only to the extent necessary.

In connection with Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, data is shared with Google and Meta according to the purposes described in Section 6 and the settings in use.

Depending on how the services are organised, other recipients may include:

  • Website hosting and technical support providers;
  • Payment service providers and banks;
  • SMS and email delivery service providers;
  • Authorised public authorities, where disclosure is required by law.

Where a service provider processes data on our behalf, our arrangements with that provider must address the purpose of use, confidentiality and appropriate security obligations.

Transfers of data to other countries

The use of Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or hosting, communication and other services located abroad may involve transferring data outside Georgia.

How long we retain data

We retain data for the period necessary to fulfil the relevant purpose or comply with a legal obligation.

When determining retention periods, we consider:

  • The duration of the account and your use of the services;
  • The need to complete a booking, payment or customer request;
  • Legal obligations to retain financial and other records;
  • The need to address a dispute, complaint or security incident.

Closing an account does not mean that data will be deleted immediately where an independent legal basis for retaining it still exists.

Once the relevant purpose and basis for retention have ended, data must be deleted, destroyed or transformed so that identifying an individual is no longer possible.

How we protect data

We have a duty to protect data against unauthorised access, unlawful disclosure, loss, alteration and destruction through technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks of processing.

Access to data should be limited to people who need it to carry out their responsibilities.

Please do not share your account password or one-time verification code with others. If you suspect unauthorised use of your account, contact us at info@mafia.ge.

Children's data

When processing a child's data, we take their best interests into account and process only the information necessary for the relevant service.

Where processing is based on consent, consent from a parent or another legal representative is required for a child under 16, except in cases expressly provided for by law. Reasonable measures must be taken to verify that this consent exists.

Additional requirements apply to the processing of children's special-category data.

The rules on consent to data processing do not determine eligibility to create an account independently, purchase a service or participate in a particular game. Those matters are governed by the relevant service terms and applicable law.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions established by law, you may:

  • Obtain information about whether we process your data, for what purposes, on what legal basis and with whom it is shared;
  • Access your data and obtain a copy;
  • Request the correction, updating or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request that processing stop or that data be deleted, destroyed or blocked;
  • In cases provided for by law, receive data in a structured electronic format or request its transfer to another controller;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on it;
  • Exercise safeguards relating to decisions based solely on automated processing, where such processing is used.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before it was withdrawn.

Send your request to info@mafia.ge. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity, using only information that is appropriate and necessary for your request.

We will handle your request within the period established by law for the relevant right. If there is a lawful basis for restricting the fulfilment of your request or extending the response period, we will explain the reason and your options for appeal.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may contact the State Audit Office of Georgia or bring a claim before a court.

Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated following changes to our services, data processing practices or legislation. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.

We will inform you of significant changes in an appropriate way. Where a change requires new consent, we will request it separately.
